Discover Aldeburgh and the Suffolk coast

Beach in one direction, High Street in the other. Aldeburgh is easy to enjoy without constantly getting back in the car. Stay in town and the coast, shops, restaurants and some excellent walks are all within easy reach.

Stay near the beach

Aldeburgh’s shingle beach runs right alongside the town. Walk north past the Scallop towards Thorpeness, or south past the fishing boats towards the River Alde. Several of our cottages are close enough to leave the car behind and head out on foot.

Eating in Aldeburgh

There’s seafood straight from the beach, two famous fish and chip shops, good restaurants, cafés, bakeries and delis, with most clustered around the High Street and seafront. Staying in town means dinner rarely requires getting back in the car.
