Why book with us?

When you book with The Suffolk Cottage Collection, you're getting the best possible price- no hidden fees, no inflated commissions. And if you speak to us, chances are you'll chat with Donna, who turns bookings into a breeze and always goes the extra mile with a smile. "Donna was fantastic with communication. Nothing was ever too much trouble."

We are local

We're not just in Suffolk - we're part of it. Our little farmhouse HQ looks out over rolling fields and winding lanes, and when we pop out for a walk, it's usually through the same villages and footpaths you'll be exploring on your holiday. We're properly local - and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Always here to help you

No robots. No "please press 1." Just real people who pick up the phone and actually want to talk to you. Got a question? Want a recommendation? Need to know which pub does the best Sunday roast? We're here. And if we don't already know the answer, someone in the village probably does.

Handpicked with heart

We don't do bland. Every one of our cottages is chosen because it has something special - the kind of place we'd book ourselves (or proudly recommend to Mum). If it's in our collection, it's passed the The Suffolk Cottage Collection Standard: charm, comfort, and a sense of place you can feel the moment you step through the door.

Iken

Bertie next to another holiday cottage (Spike) and is located in Iken on a non working farm. The owners live in the farmhouse next door and are there for guests if needed but in a very non-invasive way.

Iken is a small village and parish in Suffolk, located near Orford, and known for its unique marshland setting and historical significance related to St.Botolph. The village sits on the River Alde estury, offering picturesque views and diverse wildlife.

Orford is a charming, historial coastal village in Suffolk with a 12th century Norman castle to visit, a beautiful quay offering boat rides and some wonderful places to eat and drink. Check out our 'Orford Guide' on the locations page of our website.

The coastal town of Aldeburgh is 15 minutes drive away and you will find Southwold a little further North of the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

Suffolk also offers traditional market towns such as Framlingham (famous for it's Castle on the Hill) and Woodbridge if you fancy a spot of shopping.
